I've always liked little trinket boxes, and what better than to make and decorate my own with shells. I used little wooden boxes mostly, or sometimes hard cardboard. Many can be found in craft stores, just waiting for decoration.

I painted them inside as well, and added felt at the bottom for cushioning. Sometimes I added a mirror in the lid, or maybe put a pretty sticker in the lid and then painted over it with clear gloss. They were fun to make.

Below are just a few samples of what I've done in the past. I don't have any left at this time but I may make some more soon as they always sold well.
